It’s Thanksgiving Week Thanksgiving. Time to panic and then eat!

We’ll be winging it today—no pun intended—without Greg, but with plenty of background chatter and knocking about. Although I’ve moved the kit, so it shouldn’t be too bad.

The turkey goes in at 9:00. After that, anything goes!

Today’s countdown numbers:

64 days until funding for most of the government ends again, and we face another shutdown
1,150 days remaining in Trump’s legal term of office
341 days until the midterm elections, if we have them
402 days—if we have those elections—until we seat that new Congress.

Our random country generator says, today’s an unlucky day for: Pakistan!

Well, if you have to have your number come up, better that it happens when the U.S. will be disinclined to follow through on the invasion threat. Thanksgiving, plus maybe Christmas and New Year’s Day are probably pretty good draws, in that respect.

Plus, we’ll never make it in time. Have you seen the traffic between here and Pakistan?

That’s a fine joke, although now I don’t know how I’m going to transition to our traditional closing:
