United States Military Clearly Commits A Crime

Today it was revealed that American military forces conducted a "double tap" strike on an alleged drug running boat on September 2d. They hit the boat once, killing some and disabling the boat. This is a clearly illegal act. Whoever ordered it issued an illegal order, whoever did it committed a crime. Even accepting the Trump Regime's false claim that the drug runners are not civilians (even though they are), if you deem them enemy combatants subject to attack under the rules of war, then they are also entitled to the protections of the rules of war.

These people were knocked out of the "battle" and helpless in the water. Under the rules for war, relating to the sea, we were obligated to make reasonable efforts to rescue them. We certainly were not allowed to murder helpless people in a disabled boat. What kind of nation does such things?

Hegseth apparently ordered that there be no survivors. That's also an illegal order. A command of "no quarter given" violates the laws of war.

Those responsible should be court martialed. If the president ordered this, he should be impeached and removed from office for war crimes.
