The Trumped Constitution

Donald Trump is outraged that a group of military Democrats informed the troops of their obligation to disobey illegal orders. He called it “treason”. Of course, there is nothing in the Constitution that defines treason the way Trump defines it. One possible solution: He can jettison the existing Constitution and replace it with a new Constitution that “Trumps” the old one.

He would do it if he could! Here is what it would look like:

I, the President, in order to establish that I am the only one who matters, declare this new Constitution to take the place of the old fake one.

Article 1001: Donald Trump is above the law!

Article 1002: Criticizing Donald Trump is Treason!

Article 1003: Questioning the authority of Donald Trump is Treason!

Article 1004: Reporting news that Donald Trump disapproves of is Treason!

Article 1005: Pissing off Donald Trump is Treason!
