The Press Conference has just ended. This is now called a ‘targeted attack’ calling for federal lead in the investigation. The guards members were reported killed; they are alive but are in critical condition. A mistaken announcement by the Governor appears below.

The West Virginia soldiers were at Farragut Metro station, two blocks from the White House. The shooter was wounded and is in custody. SecDef Hegseth has requested 500 more National Guard troops.

These two things are true:
1) Shooting National Guard members is horrific and criminal.
2) So is putting National Guard members in harm’s way to score political points.
