Something bothering me about affordability

The word of the year is affordability. That’s the key to how Dems win in 2026 and beyond.

the thing bothering me is it doesn’t include a lot of Democratic concepts. Worried about racism , sexism, homophobia, environmental issues, democratic values? Not included in affordability. Global warming? Corruption? Homelessness? Deficit spending?
mostly not included.

actually trump could have done fine on affordability had he just left tariffs alone.

Biden got into trouble on affordability due to inflation caused by trying to stimulate the economy.

and so affordability is kind of neither a democratic or republican issue. It can swing wildly depending on which way the wind blows. Today it favors Dems, tomorrow it may not.
