The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces struck and started a fire at the Russian Joint Stock Company VNIIR-Progress Plant in Cheboksary, Chuvashia Republic, which produces navigation equipment and components for cruise and ballistic missiles.[38] The Ukrainian General Staff reported that the plant produces GNSS receivers and antennas for GLONASS, GPS, and Galileo satellite systems, such as Comet-type modules that Russian forces use in Shahed-type drones, Iskander-M ballistic missiles, Kalibr cruise missiles, and navigation kits for glide bombs. Geolocated footage published on November 26 shows a drone strike and fires near the VNIIR plant.[39] Chuvashia Republic Head Oleg Nikolaev claimed that Ukrainian forces conducted a “massive” drone strike against Cheboksary, damaging two residential buildings.[40]
