Just a quiet day with the in-laws. We hosted. My 90-year-old mother-in-law wanted pot roast, so this was my first Thanksgiving when Turkey was not the main course, and I didn’t have to make stuffing (my grandfather’s recipe).

EDIT: I’ve been posting some version of this song for years. I first heard it more than 40 years ago, and I’ve been a fan of Bob Franke’s songwriting ever since. As I was searching for versions of this song, I discovered he had passed away on October 16th of this year. It seems the grim reaper has taken a number of significant people in folk music recently, RIP Bob.
