This is a group-blog for Oakland, California. Oakland's in a pretty interesting spot these days and I'd like to help document it. My neighborhood, Temescal, is gentrifying pretty visibly. Uptown is becoming more vibrant all the time. Artists have been moving into West Oakland for years. We have a new mayor, a proposed new ballpark, and one incredibly bad budget problem. The 99 Percenters Economic Plan
This is an action group to propose and enact a progressive economic plan for the bottom 99 percent of American society. The guiding principle for the plan: an economy that works for all of us. The plan should be coherent, memorable and short; we should be able to boil it down to two or three key points.
